Roanoke College Rotaract Presents Check

 Trina Mitchell and Rotaract Members This year, the 3rd Annual Rotaract Cocktail Fundraiser  "Cocktail for the Cure" raised a generous donation for the Greater Roanoke Valley Komen Affiliate.  The fundraiser was a joint event sponsored by the Salem Rotary Club, Roanoke College and Rotaract (Roanoke College's collegiate extension of Rotary International).  The event was held In honor of Trina Mitchell, a recent survivor of breast cancer and a RC employee.

Salem Rotarians, students, and faculty attended the event. The Komen Affiliate had an education table and handed out educational information to students and all attendees.  Pictured left are Jameson Jones past President of Rotaract, Honoree Trina Mitchell, Rotaract President Brooke Jones and Komen Volunteer Susan Young.
